McAuley's Community Involvement ...
Catherine McAuley is involved with many Community and Parish events. Each year we participate in both the ANZAC Day and NAIDOC Marches through the city.
Our school also visits various nursing homes and community centres to give drama and musical performances. Our Concert Band and School Choir participate in the Orange Eisteddfod, School Spectacular and Music Manifesto annually, joining with other schools for community performances.
Our 'Mini Vinnies' students are very involved in assisting members of our community who may need a 'helping hand', and spend much of their time making things to sell to raise funds for specific community projects, or going out and involving themselves in the community.
We are very proud of our community involvement, as we see this as an important aspect our school life.

Parent Community Involvement at Catherine McAuley ...
We have a very strong and supportive Parent Body at Catherine McAuley. Parents are an integral part of our daily existance. We encourage parents to be involved in classroom activities, Liturgical Celebrations, sporting activities, open classrooms, Book Fairs, and many other activities throughout the year. Although we don't have a traditional "Parents and Friends Association", whenever any assistance is needed, whether it be helping out at Sports Carnivals or running BBQ's for Celebration days, our Parents are always willing to help.
At the beginning of each school year, each grade asks for parents who may like to be involved in a fund raising organising committee. Two or three grades then combine to choose one activity to raise money for the school, and these are spread out throughout the year. As a whole school, we only have one annual fund raising activity - the Melbourne Cup Trifecta Tickets. We understand that there is a lot of different financial pressures on parents, and we try to limit this burden.
