Principal's Message

Thank you for choosing to learn more about Catherine McAuley Catholic Primary School, Orange.

I am delighted to have joined the community of Catherine McAuley this year as Principal. Leading a school community is an honour and a privilege and I am looking forward to getting to know and working in partnership with the staff, students, families and the parish team to continue to strengthen this vibrant Catholic educational community.

As a Catholic school, we place a high priority on the formation and practice of our faith. We design and deliver a rigorous educational program that strives to meet the spiritual, academic, social, emotional, creative and physical needs of students. Catherine McAuley is an inviting and friendly school and I would like to thank the Parish Priest,      Fr Greg, the staff, students and families for the warm welcome and all that you bring to this amazing community. We value our vital link to the Catholic Parish of St Mary and St Joseph, and we share the role of providing a comprehensive, quality Catholic Education for families.

Catherine McAuley offers a comprehensive K-6 academic program and we strive to provide rich opportunities to enhance learning and build strong relationships, developing a genuine family environment. Our teachers and support staff provide high quality, well resourced educational programs that support, challenge and extend students’ learning within a safe, supportive and caring environment. The staff at Catherine McAuley are committed to knowing each student and designing engaging learning experiences that allow students to grow in confidence and capability.

We follow the Positive Behaviours for Learning Framework and have a strong commitment to pastoral care and wellbeing that fosters self-discipline. We strive to help students take responsibility for their actions and behaviour, to understand what it means to be respectful and create a safe learning environment. We want our students to be confident in their abilities. We go to great lengths to make our school a happy place for teaching and learning.

I look forward to welcoming you to Catherine McAuley.
